About This Plant

Duke Blueberry is an early-season northern highbush cultivar valued for large, uniform, light-blue berries with firm texture and excellent eating quality. Its upright, open habit and later-than-average bloom among early cultivars can help reduce exposure to spring frost, while fruit ripens early in the season. For best performance, plant in full sun in acidic, well-drained soil and manage irrigation carefully, since Duke performs poorly where drainage or soil conditions are unsuitable.
